Insect Control

Eliminate Roaches, Flies and Ants
To get the best results, professional pest control operators use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques. IPM takes advantage of all appropriate pest management options. This means using a program of multiple products for effective pest control.
Non-toxic glue traps placed in suspected travel paths can capture insects and show if an insect control strategy is working. Traps need to be placed at least 5 feet away from food processing areas to avoid contamination risks.
Boric acid is very effective at killing roaches, ants and other insects. This product can be puffed into cracks and crevices where insects like to hide.
For serious problems with flies, roaches and ants, a good spray with residual protection is needed. Insecticides can be used to quickly bring down pest numbers and increase effectiveness of other control tactics.
Insect control products used in conjunction with keeping clean facilities, and removing insect food sources can also help eliminate the problem.

Insect Health Risks
An insect infestation poses a serious hygiene risk. Cockroaches can carry disease, contaminate food, and induce allergies. They hide by day in cracks and crevices and feed at night on water and crumbs of food. Most prefer warm, moist areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Flies are also known to carry numerous diseases, including tuberculosis, typhoid and cholera. Flies feed on decaying organic waste, and then transfer pathogens from their feet to human food and food preparation surfaces. Unfortunately, flies are attracted to conditions found in restaurants, where they can do the most damage.
